Experiences of a lifetime

A safari in Kenya and Tanzania – the Maasai call the Serengeti ecosystem "Siringitu" which means "the place where the land moves on forever." Here columns of wildebeest plod along centuries-old migration routes; behind them, prides of lions prowl, completing the circle of life... elephants, buffaloes and hippos graze upon the large coarse grasses, while zebras and topi wait their turn...

This is the Serengeti, one of the world's extraordinary safari experiences. In Tanzania, you can find a birdwatcher's paradise in Lake Manyara and Africa's "Garden of Eden" in Ngorongoro Crater. The circle of life continues in the savannas of Kenya, where indescribable vignettes play out before your eyes in Maasai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park... Return to a time when the Great Rift Valley held the secrets of the origins of mankind... Observe huge herds roaming the Serengeti, the "lost world" of Ngorongoro Crater, and free-ranging elephants in Amboseli National Park.. soar in a hot air balloon over the Maasai Mara at dawn – capped by a champagne breakfast in the bush... view rescued chimpanzees and protected black rhinos at Ol Pejeta Conservancy... attend a special barbecue dinner accompanied by Maasai cultural performance in the Serengeti... enjoy a two-night stay at fabled Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club... meet the weavers of a local village... travel in exclusive open-top safari vehicles, and stay in luxurious tented camps and safari lodges... On safari in Kenya's Amboseli National Park

Private game drives

In the heart of southern Kenya, Amboseli National Park is a place of magnetic beauty, where vast savannas, acacia woodlands, and lush wetlands unfold beneath the towering 19,341-foot Mount Kilimanjaro. Set off in a custom safari vehicle, guided by an expert tracker and your Tauck Director, and traverse the park's raw landscapes in search of its legendary wildlife - including the famed "Big Five." Best known for its herds of elephants - 60 family groups to be exact - watch as these giants march in mesmerizing formation against the mountain's towering backdrop. As you journey through the park, pause to find lions stretched out in the shade, buffalo wading through marshy pools, and leopards draped over tree branches, each encounter connecting you to the wild and the incredible stories it has to tell.

Maasai Traditions: A Village Visit

Dine in the open plains

A meal you'll never forget...

Dining in the open bush is a special part of any safari - an opportunity to relax, savor untamed landscapes, and share stories of the day's adventures. Across Africa, this long-standing tradition of open-fire barbecue, popularized by old-world travelers, offers a unique and memorable way to experience the wilderness. Whether surrounded by the sweeping savannah or dining under the stars, the combination of a flavorful barbecue, warm hospitality, and the sounds of nature adds to the spirit of safari.
