Private capsule on the London Eye

Soaring over London aboard the London Eye

Your family will feel as though they are part of the London skyline when they get a bird's-eye view of the city while soaring high above it in Tauck's private observation capsule. Centuries of history are put into perspective as you gaze down from your unique perspective 450 feet above the Thames River... truly the world's most exciting observation wheel!

Go on a guided scavenger hunt in the Louvre

How many masterpieces can you find?

Gather your group and keep tally of who can spot the most iconic pieces of art on your guided scavenger hunt of the Musée du Louvre. At the largest art museum in the world, containing over 35,000 works, you'll be able to check many well-known paintings and sculptures off your list. Bonus points when you spot Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa or Alexandros of Antioch's Venus de Milo, some of the museum's most iconic pieces.

Speedboating on the River Thames

James Bond-style adventure on the River Thames

Your family combines thrills galore with London's top sights on a speedboat adventure through history along the River Thames. The view from the river is completely different than what you've seen before... the commentary is witty and enlightening... and iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, London Bridge, and St. Paul's Cathedral take on a different perspective with the thrill of turbo powered speed...

Guided visit – Château de Versailles

Discover 5 centuries of French history on a guided visit through one of the world's most extravagant palaces

Château de Versailles was born as a hunting lodge for King Louis XIII – but by the era of the Sun King, Louis XIV, his renovations put the palace on its way to becoming one of the world's most extraordinary palaces and estates. Today, Versailles is one of France's premier museums with over 60,000 treasured art works; a guided tour shares historic insights and great stories.

Travel back 1,000 years and explore the Tower of London

From Crown Jewels to old prisoner passageways - see it all

Are you brave enough to enter the Bloody Tower? The Tower of London has served a variety of purposes since its creation over 1,000 years ago, including as a castle, a menagerie, and even a prison. Today, the site is a popular tourist attraction where guests can admire the Queen's Crown Jewels and learn about the many changes that the building has gone through. As you explore inside and outside the tower (when you're outside, be sure to view the Yeoman Warders' commitment to guarding the area and their refusal to break character), you will find bits of history everywhere you turn.

Our tour director Barnaby called us "rockstars." For the group photo, he bought all the "rockstars" berets. Thanks to Barnaby, I had a memorable vacation and I hope to take another one soon!
